One can
find only some actors and actresses, who remain in the hearts of people for a

the '70s and '80s, who enacted roles, which were ahead of the times,

In her film
career, which spanned for around ten years, she has performed in more than 50
movies, among which 10 are best. These films were also regarded as megahits of
those times. Parveen Babi changed the look of actresses who wore saree and were

She was not shy
to portray characters of women in a physical relationship before marriage and
drinking alcohol in society, both these things were never done by a woman on
screen. Her career was launched in the year 1973 with the movie Charitra but
met with success in 1974 with the film Majboor along side superstar Amitabh
Bachchan.

Meri Awaz Suno. Parveen Babi experimented effectively with many roles which
proved her ability as an actress undoubtedly. Her roles differed in many movies

acted with many popular actors of Bollywood - many of her successful movies had
Amitabh Bachchan as her co-star. She acted in different characters in a lot of

A romantic song
in the blockbuster film of 1970, Amar Akbar Anthony, saw Parveen with other
stars of the film. Humko Tumse Ho Gaya Hai was that popular romantic number.
Namak Halal, which featured actor Shashi Kapoor, alongside her, had two good
songs of hers. Jawani Janeman Haseen Dilruba and Raat Baaki Baat Baaki boosted
her already popular image of an actress. These 2 songs are evergreen and are
being cherished by people in the country, even to this day. Her sensuous look
in these peppy numbers attracted the masses.
Suhaag and Main
To Beghar Hoon starred Shashi Kapoor and Parveen. These were the biggest
grossing movies of those times. Angrezi Mein Kehte Hai I Love You, Pyaar
Karnewale Pyaar Karte Hain and Teri Jheel Si Gehre Aankhon Mein were some other
romantic songs of her.
Her relations
with Mahesh Bhatt and Kabir Bedi were much talked about at that time. The
beauty and conviction of Parveen Babi is unmatched in Bollywood.
