Some
people are natural born actors while some take years to develop the art. But
anyone, with hard work, a little talent and the lady luck on his side can
improve his chances of making it in the industry. Hollywood is filled with
plenty of such stories where a famous actor, even after getting rejected
several times at acting auditions, still made it to big stardom in Hollywood.
Every famous or casual actor has had to go through an acting audition at one or
the other time.
The main
objective of these acting auditions is to evaluate the acting skill as well as
personality of the actor. There are still plenty of unknown and struggling
actors who go through acting audition every other day, to showcase their talent
and in the hope of impressing the judges to get that big break. Needless to
say, the judges have to refuse some as not everyone can get selected by them.
They have the freedom and choice to select or reject these wannabe actors at
such acting auditions.
The actors often
keep looking for news of any such acting audition through their manager or in
the industry trade papers. Once they are sure of the venue and the kind of
role, they apply for the audition and are given some scripts which are short
and often mono dialogues. It is on the actor now how well he prepares for these
acting auditions as this is a golden chance to impress the judges.
The competition
is tough as everybody who app[ears for an acting audition is there to give his
best and prepared well for it after putting in hours of hard work and research.
They take every precaution and be on their best on the day. They will be
polite, try to appear relaxed even if they are very tense inside and most
important of all not to annoy the crew, directors and the judges in any way.
One of the easiest ways to rub a judge on the wrong side is by being late. Keep
in mind that these are professional people and they simply do not stand anyone
wasting their precious time and time is money in this industry. Hence, remember
to appear well in time for your acting audition.
The judges,
directors and crew will naturally expect the actor to come well prepared for
the acting auditions. So face the camera confidently, practice enough so that
you don't forget or fumble with your worlds and most importantly, look in the
eyes of the judges and the audience to make that important connection. Just
relax and keep in mind that these people on the other side of the camera do
really want you to give your best at the acting
audition.
